Chinese Menu Backdrop
This was the image I used for my main project in my Typography class back in 2005. We were to create a full menu, logo, and design for a fictional business. I chose to do "Koi Kapture", an asian themed sushi restaurant.
This image actually took several weeks to complete. It uses about six base images, blended together with opacity, the clone stamp tool, and the smudge tool. When it was finally finished, I decided to go with a painted brush texture reminiscent of calligraphy or brushed watercolor paintings that ensured the image didn't compete too heavily with the text of the menu and restaurant logo.
